customize the slider text on the ipod touch

to change the ‘slider text’ download this file: download: http://rapidshare.com/files/62428859/SpringBoard.strings.html and search for “slide to unlock” replace it with anything up to 15 characters. once that is done simply put it to /System/Libary/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj/SpringBoard.strings. rebooting the ipod touch

1. press & hold the power button until the red slider bar appears 2. move the slider bar all the way to the right 3. wait for the ipod to turn off 4. press the power button again

installing 3rd party apps on the ipod touch

1. tap installer.app 2. tap community sources 3. tap install 4. reboot the ipod once rebooted this will populate the installer.app with a great number of 3rd party apps that are available to install on your ipod touch. remember its best to reboot after you install an app.
