well, i just finished backing up the mac book pro.... just - in - case... took way longer than i hoped. i am one of those people who always like to do fresh/clean installs. so i back everything up to my already almost maxed out MyBook. then i delete the extra partitions, and let the low level format begin. my wife bid me farewell, as she knows that i wont emerge from the office until this mission is complete, or i need to top off the scotch 
ok maybe for a brownie too...
