change the default password for your jailbreaked ipod

its important to note that there is a possiablity that someone could (although unlikely) hack into your ipod after you jailbreak it. since the default password for “root” is “alpine”. so to be safe its easy to change and will make it a bit tougher for someone to hack your ipod and act as if they were god.
1. ssh into you ipod via terminal / putty / whatever:
ssh root@youripodipaddress
enter your password
then type: passwd
it will ask for a new password and to confirm it.
viola you have just reset your ipod touch root password.
