Rohrer & Klingner Fernambuk Ink Review

Rohrer & Klingner Fernambuk [full size photo] - I was recently sent some of this Rohrer & Klingner Fernambuk fountain pen ink to test out. [Please note, in no way does this inhibit the neutrality of this review.]

I loaded the ink into a freshly cleaned Lamy Safari, with a Fine nib. The ink started right up without issue. It was a smooth ink, slightly dry feeling as it came out. The color reminds me of a Rose. The ink played very nice with the various test papers I used, including the Hammermill LasterPrint paper I used for the review. There was a tiny bit of show through, but no bleed through was evident. Also, feathering was minimal...this is a nice well behaved ink. The Lamy didn't show much shading, but again its a Fine nib Lamy Safari.

This is only my second review of a Rohrer & Klingner fountain pen ink. I am happy to say I have enjoyed both so far. I hope the others fair as well. There are five more of the Rohrer & Klingner inks I will be testing. This is an interesting ink. Very pretty, while not as bold or out there as I normally like it. It is still enjoyable.

This ink, as well as many other inks and pens can be purchased from - my friends at Pear Tree Pens.
