Rohrer & Klingner Verdura [full size photo] - I was recently sent some of this Rohrer & Klingner Verdura (bright green) fountain pen ink to test out. [Please note, in no way does this inhibit the neutrality of this review.]
This ink is green, bright green. Reminds me of Ireland. I loaded the ink into my Pilot 78g Medium fountain pen. Right off the bat, I know this is going to be an ink I will maintain in my "ink-apocalypse" stash. I love it plain and simple.
On to the actually review... The ink worked right out of the gate, no issues with skipping, dry outs, feed issues. Worked like a champ. The ink does seem very dry. It goes on almost dry, you can see in the written review I couldn't smudge the ink even at 1 sec. This Rohrer & Klingner Verdura is very bight, nice and vivid/bold like I like them. It doesn't blind you which some of these bright greens tend to do. There was very little show through, since it dries so fast. Only a tiny bit of bleed through that I noticed on one of my test pages. There is a nice amount of shading and zero feathering.
If you are looking for something a little different, if you like greens... this should be a perfect ink for you. One of our VP's at work saw me using it during a meeting and he had to try it out for himself. He loved it. Im trying hard to get him hooked on fountain pens.
This ink, as well as many other inks and pens can be purchased from - my friends at Pear Tree Pens.
