amazon is up on stage chatting about their cloud computing systems. they are showing some analytics referencing the power of the s3 system to prevent spike damage, and how cloud computing can help prevent damage caused by spike traffic.
they explain cloud computing as:

they showed an example of a company who made some widgets, they were using 50 servers. after the viral nature of facebook they scaled to 3500 servers. after the spike they scaled back down.
they are now chatting about amazon mechanical turk... basically a marketplace for technical help. some people pay peeps on amazon mechanical turk 1 cent to tag an image.
